We believe that cat furniture should elevate a room, not fight it. That belief led us on a years-long quest—one that culminates with the Heritage Treehouse. Here’s how a sketch on a notepad became America’s most considered cat tree.

We’re design-obsessed cat enthusiasts—and full-time attendants to our Bengal cats, Moose and Hazelnut. After years of swapping cat trees that scuffed hardwoods, shed synthetic fuzz, and clashed with rooms we'd worked tirelessly to perfect, we decided it was time to stop compromising. Four convictions have guided us along the way:

From Sketches to Statement Piece
The First Drafts
Obsessed with Detail, Down to the Millimeter.
It began with a set of midnight sketches. After spending hours with an industrial designer, we had conceptual CAD renderings; these eventually were refined to the first set of shop ready drawings.
Material Philosophy
Tested, Trusted, and Timeless.
We sifted through hundreds of swatches—woods, stains, rope, felt, latex, cotton—auditioning every possible combination. Each sample survived Moose & Hazelnut’s stress-tests before it earned a spot in the line-up.
Prototype, Break, Repeat
Tested Beyond Expectations.
Early plywood stand-ins soon became solid-wood prototypes. We built, stressed, and dismantled each one—logging dozens of break-and-fix cycles until every joint shrugged off Moose & Hazelnut’s test-runs. Every failure redrew the plans, forging a design that finally refused to give way.
Every Detail, Considered
Perfection in the Smallest Touches.
From hidden joinery to hand-sanded curves, we scrutinized each millimeter—selecting zero-VOC finishes, hemp rope that won’t fray, and wool felt that invites claws yet shrugs off wear—so the tree reads as one seamless sculpture.
